Last week as I wrote about the power of God’s word, Holy Spirit sent me to Psalm 33.  As I wrote then, He stopped me on verse 4  and started speaking to me prophetically.
Today we are going to take a look at the first part of that verse. For the word of the LORD is right.”  I pulled out my Strong’s concordance because I wanted a better understanding of what this verse means.

Two words in this quote popped out for treasure hunting.  Beginning with the word, WORD. I know, I know.  We all, including me, believe we have a handle on what He is talking about.  But, let’s see:

WORD: Strong’s #1697 from #1696.  Since #1696 is the root meaning of the word, that is where we begin.

#1696: The Strongs definition looks like this: דָבַר dâbar, daw-bar’; a primitive root; perhaps properly, to arrange; but used figuratively (of words), to speak; rarely (in a destructive sense) to subdue:—answer, appoint, bid, command, commune, declare, destroy, give, name, promise, pronounce, rehearse, say, speak, be spokesman, subdue, talk, teach, tell, think, use (entreaties), utter, × well, work.

This covers a lot of territories, right?  So, let’s pin it down by searching our the meaning of the letters reading from right to left:

Dallet  4 =  Earth or creation.  Means: Door, Gate, Impoverished man, to come from indicates a pathway, a place of decision, or an entrance to life or death. 

Bet  2 =  Divide or Division     Means: House/Family; God’s word, God’s dwelling place (Temple)

Resh  200 = Insufficiency, Poverty. Picture: Head Means: Head, Chief, Beginning, Highest, Most Important, a Person, Human Reasoning vs. Obedience.  (When we allow human reasoning to be our master, our head, poverty of the Spirit results.)

When we put all of this together WORD — God’s Word, is for All the earth.  It is a Door (Yeshua, the Living Word, is our Door) for us all and a pathway to walk into His House, His Family, where Human Reasoning is overtaken by obedience to Him, not out of fear or obligation, but out of love and appreciation for how He made a Way for us into His family.

Okay, now let’s look at the word RIGHT:

RIGHT is Strong’s #3477 and the root meaning is #3474:   יָשַׁר yâshar, yaw-shar’; a primitive root; to be straight or even; figuratively, to be (causatively, to make) right, pleasant, prosperous:—direct, fit, seem good (meet), please (will), be (esteem, go) right (on), bring (look, make, take the) straight (way), be upright(-ly).

Again, there are many meanings to the word RIGHT, but why is it connected with God’s word in this scripture?  Let’s look at the letters reading from right to left:

Yod 10 = The outcome or completion of something. Means: Hand, Right Arm, Power, Right hand of God’s power, a Deed Done, To Work, to Cover, Allow, Hollow, Open Hand

Shin  300 = Victory of good over evil, Holy Spirit.  Means: Teeth, Fire, the Fire of God to consume all His enemies, Devour, Destroy, Something Sharp.

Resh  200 = Insufficiency, Poverty. Picture: Head Means: Head, Chief, Beginning, Highest, Most Important, a Person, Human Reasoning vs. Obedience.  (When we allow human reasoning to be our master, our head, poverty of the Spirit results.)

RIGHT:  In this verse of scripture, the Word of the LORD is RIGHT — it is backed by God’s Right Hand of Power working to Consume His enemies, giving us Victory over evil.  He is our Head and is leading us out of Human Reasoning and showing us the way of Victory through obedience.

Now, let’s see the partnership of these two words.

God’s Word, is for all the earth.  It is a door (Yeshua, the Living Word, is our door) for us, a pathway to walk into His house, His family, where human reasoning is overtaken by obedience to Him, not out of fear or obligation, but out of love and appreciation for how He made a way for us into His family.  Every Word Yeshua spoke, as recorded in our Bible, and every Word He speaks to us today through prophecy and Holy Spirit leading, is backed by God’s right hand of power.  His Word consumes our enemies–the human reasoning that causes us to fear or doubt, etc. and leads us to victory as we step out in obedience to His Word.

Remember how in Focus 2, we talked about Yeshua is our Creator and how He spoke creation into existence?  And then is Focus 3 we uncovered the truth that He is the Light and where there isn’t any Light, there isn’t any Life?  When we consider He created with WORDS and what He spoke created LIFE, we can see Life in His Word.  It is Life/Light that drives out the enemy and leads us to victory.  So, when we meditate (speak His Word over and over out loud), we are releasing and creating Life and Light to overcome the enemies in our soul.  And when we declare His Word over a situation in our family, our city, our state or our nation, we are also releasing Life and Light.

There is not any other God like our God.  His Word is Right.

Open your mouth and speak out the words He is giving you to speak.  Ask Holy Spirit to lead you to scripture to declare, and      bring to remembrance promises He’s spoken to you and start declaring them in faith. We cannot declare our own words and expect results but His word will not return void.  When we are focused on His Word, we are living an overcoming life.
