Truth–What is it? Focus – 6

truth2Truth isn’t easy to find these days with all the fake news and the stands many are taking in opposition God’s word. There no longer seems to be black and white but only grey.  But Truth falls in the black and white category.  Things are either true or they are not. So, what is the TRUTH?

The Holy Spirit gave me Focus as the word for this year.  Then on January 13, He impressed on me the need to camp on this verse: Psalm 33:4 For the word of the LORD is right and all His works are done in truth.

We’ve looked at ‘word’ and ‘right’ in Focus 4 and then on ‘works’ in Focus 5.  Today we are going to wrap it up and look at TRUTH.

Truth in this verse is Strong’s #530 or em·ü·nä,’ and that is where we will begin.

TRUTH: אֱמוּנָה ʼĕmûwnâh, em-oo-naw’; or (shortened) אֱמֻנָה ʼĕmunâh; feminine of H529; literally firmness; figuratively security; morally fidelity:—faith(-ful, -ly, -ness, (man)), set office, stability, steady, truly, truth, verily.

FYI – Emunah or Strong’s #530 in scripture, is also the root word for faithfulness.

Okay, here is the letter breakdown reading from right to left:  truth 530

Aleph 1= God – Echad – Unity, Unique (no other like it) Means: Ox head—Strength or Leader, Most Important, FirstThe Strength and Power of the leader

Mem 40= Trial, Testing, Tribulation.  Means Womb, Water from the womb, Cleansing water, flowing water that brings life, Mighty, Massive Chaos, Humility, taking the low place, hidden relationship with God, Cleansing water, flowing water that brings life.

Vav  6 =  Man. Means: Nail or Hook, to Secure, Pin together, Connect -Yeshua

Nun  50 = Restoration, Holy Spirit, Jubilee. Means: Life or Action

Hey  5 = Grace.  Means: Revelation – 5 is the number of Torah, Behold, Give Attention – (at the end of a word: comes from letter before)

Now, let’s put this in context, “All His works (the LORD’s worksthe Self-existent Eternal God’s works) are done in truth.”  Do you see Whose works–the God who never lies?

(Aleph) Truth is backed by the strength and power of the Self-existent Eternal God. Truth is often manifest in times of trial and testing that humble and cleanse us (Mem).  Those trials draw us back to our need to stay connected to Yeshua (Vav). Holy Spirit delivers Truth to us in a myriad of ways bringing revelation and stirring us to action for Gods Kingdom (Nun and Hey).

Last week we talked about how God ‘works’ and discovered that much of His ‘works’ are actually no more than Him speaking His will and the power in those words creating what’s been spoken.

I am amazed at the power released in a minimal number of words.  Holy Spirit may speak to us through one sentence in a sermon, a conversation with a friend, a bumper sticker, a song on the radio, a question from a toddler, a verse in scripture, or a billion other ways.  But when we see or hear that word, it cuts through everything that is false and clearly reveals what is real. (Hebrews 4:12)

When the truth is revealed, what may have stood as a stronghold, a mindset, for months or even years will split wide open and fall with one word of truth. People can fill our courtrooms, our city streets, our Facebook feeds arguing and debating until vanilla turns to chocolate, but Truth will remain unmoved.

Isaiah 40:6 The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.

You may be faced with a decision and need to know what to do.  When we ask for help, Holy Spirit will bring truth or confirm something we’ve already heard from the Lord. Truth isn’t just about whether adultery is right or wrong or whether lying is okay or not.  Truth walks beside us in our personal relationship with Abba and points the way for us to fulfill the good purpose He has planned.

Philippians 2:13 it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

It may not seem logical to you or others, but Truth will come clear and strong and it will be our choice whether to apply it or not.

Ephesians 2:10  For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]. AMP

You see, in reality, Truth is a Person, His name is Yeshua Ha Mashiach. When we follow Him and pay attention to what He is telling us, showing us, and step out in obedience, we experience the power of Truth.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.

Psalm 119:130
The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Philippians 4:8-9  Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

When we take Philippians 4:8-9 to heart and make God and His Word our focus, life is filled with grace and peace even in the midst of great trial.  Hope you’ve enjoyed digging into this one verse, full of treasure.

Keep looking up.  The answers you are looking for won’t be found anywhere else but in Him, the Living Word and the Truth.  Have a great week.
