As I prepared to give a message in 2017, I spent time in prayer asking Holy Spirit, “What do You want me to declare?”

Here was His answer:

Decree a word of deliverance from false idols and a call to make the main thing the main thing.  Apart from Me, you can do nothing.  In Me, you live and move and have your being.

It’s a call to rest and a call to action.  Rest in the simplicity of My gospel, My good news.  You can do all things in Me.  Anything apart from Me is filthy rags and dung.

It’s not about big production, big names.  It’s about the least of these and sharing My love with your time, energy and resources.  The world is crying out for a Saviour and He lives at your address.  You carry Him with you everywhere you go.  Take Him into your everyday life and share His life with all you meet.  Not just quick words but power encounters of prayer and helping hands.  Be willing to get dirty and spend time.  Your life is not your own.  You were bought with a price.  A price greater than any other.

I gave all for you.  Will you not share My life with those who need it most? Your adoration of Me is more than a praise song.  It is your life given over to pour out My love.

Ask Me to open your eyes and I will show you who they are.

Ezekiel 2:6-7 Don’t be afraid of their words though briars and thorns are with you and you dwell among scorpions.  Do not be afraid of their words or dismayed by their looks, though they are a rebellious house.

You shall speak My words to them whether they hear or whether they refuse for they are a rebellious house.

It’s time to get real Beloved.  No more games and parties.  Time to live the life.  Yes, there are joys, but they are deeper and richer than any you’ve had before as I become the focus of your adoration.  No longer seeking position or recognition, but only to do My will and share My truth regardless of the outcome.

It’s a narrow path.  It’s a path cleared by the great I AM.  Not for the faint-hearted or fearful.  Will you walk with Me.

I am calling the called to come up higher.  To leave this world and its delicacies and allocates behind and seek Me only.  Step out of the darkness and discover the Light of My power and love.

Mark 8:34-38  When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. ³⁵ For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. ³⁶ For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? ³⁷ Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? ³⁸ For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”

His call hasn’t changed.  He is preparing a Bride without spot or wrinkle and the preparation calls for our response.  We must make His will the main thing.  Loving Him and walking in obedience regardless of the cost.

“You shall have no other gods before Me.” (Exodus 20:3) This is a marriage vow that we can begin to exercise now.  No other person or thing takes precedence to Him and His will.  This is a command.  This is God’s instruction for living a life of grace. Let’s say yes! ♥
