We are going to finish Isaiah 53:2 today and then summarize what we have discovered.  The entire verse reads like this and we will unearth the last phrase before the summary:

For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: He hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him.    Isaiah 53:2

BEAUTY – is Strong’s #4758 – mar’eh, mar-eh’; from Strong’s #7200 ; a view (the act of seeing); also an appearance (the thing seen), whether (real) a shape (especially if handsome, comeliness; often plural the looks), or (mental) a vision:—× apparently, appearance(-reth), × as soon as beautiful(-ly), countenance, fair, favoured, form, goodly, to look (up) on (to), look(-eth), pattern, to see, seem, sight, visage, vision.

And here is #7200  râʼâh, raw-aw’; a primitive root; to see, literally or figuratively —advise self, appear, approve, behold, × certainly, consider, discern, (make to) enjoy, have experience, gaze, take heed, × indeed, × joyfully, lo, look (on, one another, one on another, one upon another, out, up, upon), mark, meet, × be near, perceive, present, provide, regard, (have) respect, (fore-, cause to, let) see(-r, -m, one another), shew (self), × sight of others, (e-) spy, stare, × surely, × think, view, visions.

#7200  râʼâh, raw-aw’ looks like this in Hebrew and the letters from right to left are these:

Resh  200 = Insufficiency, Poverty. Picture: Head Means: Head, Chief, Beginning, Highest, Most Important, a Person, Human Reasoning vs. Obedience.  (When we allow human reasoning to be our master, our head, poverty of the Spirit results.)

Aleph 1= God – Echad – Unity, Unique (no other like it) Means: Ox head—Strength or Leader, Most Important, First – The Strength and Power of the leader

Hey  5 = Grace.  Means: Revelation – 5 is the number of Torah, Behold, Give Attention – (at the end of a word: comes from letter before)

So, when Isaiah wrote, “There was no Beauty,” he was saying:

By appearance, people won’t immediately recognize that He is the Most Important Person they will ever meet (Resh).  They won’t have the Revelation (Hey) that He is God (Aleph), the Word of God in the flesh (Hey)  or recognize the Strength and Power that He carries (Aleph).

In other words, there was no obvious reason that they would choose to be on His team or to ask Him to be on theirs.  They were judging by outward appearance and not by the Spirit.  – Do we not do the same thing in our association with others?  And don’t we sometimes discover after the fact, that we judged in error and missed a huge blessing?

Okay, let’s finish off this verse.  The last phrase is “That we should desire Him.”

We will take a look at the word DESIRE.  It is Strong’s #2530 – chamad and is a primitive root. The Strong’s definition is, to delight in:—beauty, greatly beloved, covet, delectable thing, (× great) delight, desire, goodly, lust, (be) pleasant (thing), precious (thing).

And the word is spelled like this in Hebrew: The letters from right to left are:

Tav 400 = the Outcome of Trial and Testing.  Picture: a Rough Cross.  Means: Cross, Covenant, Seal, Mark, a Sign, Ownership, Finished or Complete.

Mem 40= Trial, Testing, Tribulation.  Means Womb, Water from the womb, Cleansing water, flowing water that brings life, Mighty, Massive Chaos, Humility, taking the low place, hidden relationship with God, Cleansing water, flowing water that brings life.

Dallet  4 =  Earth or creation.  Means: Door, Gate, Impoverished man, to come from indicates a pathway, a place of decision, or an entrance to life or death. 

Isaiah wraps up this vers by saying — They won’t desire Him, but is really saying:

They won’t desire Him because they won’t see Him as the fulfilled Covenant between God and man (Tav), the Door (Dallet) for all mankind to be Cleansed (Mem), enter into Life (Dallet), and a Hidden Relationship with God (Mem).

We’ve found that this verse holds some amazing treasure.  Are you ready for a summary?  Here we go!  This is the complete text followed by the Hebrew meaning.

Yeshua will come in the completion of time because He will see and understand our need for a Savior.  He will come and dedicate Himself to the task of instructing us on the ways of the Kingdom and urge us forward with His words.  His instruction will come with grace and revelation giving us the power to follow His ways.

Yeshua will grow up as a young man ever turned toward His Father.  He will pay attention to what Abba is speaking and institute a new governmental order.  Thus, He will speak what Abba is speaking and put into action God’s plan for life as led by the Holy Spirit.  He will restore God’s original plan through His words and how He lives based on the revelation He is seeing and hearing.

Yeshua, God’s Right Arm of Power, is coming to bring Completion to God’s plan for our salvation.  He is coming as a Man to Secure us in God. He is bringing Restoration of Life and through Him, we will be Set Apart and Made Holy, Consecrated to follow Him.

Yeshua is coming to bring Victory of good over evil.  He is filled with the Holy Spirit Fire of God to Destroy the works of the enemy.  He is coming as Head over all to destroy the Human Reasoning of the Pharisees and bring about true Obedience to God’s word.

But He is also coming in humility and righteousness united with God’s power and grace to reveal and draw attention to the truth and show us the value of obedience to God.

There will not be any Mark or Sign in His appearance that He is God.  No indication that He is the completed Covenant and Head over all Creation. He is the Door of Grace and Revelation for every Impoverished man.  He is the One who will give us His fullness and eradicate our Insufficiency and Poverty forever.

They won’t desire Him because they won’t see Him as the fulfilled Covenant between God and man, the Door for all mankind to be Cleansed, to enter into Life, and have a Hidden Relationship with God.

There is no other who can meet this criteria. None!!  All praise and glory to the Holy One.  Jesus Messiah, Yeshua HaMashiach, Who was, Who is, and forever will be!
