God Words – Peace or Shalom

God Words Covershot

Today, we are going to look at one of the most well-know Hebrew words, “Shalom,” or “Peace.”  This word is often used as a greeting or a farewell.  But I believe today you will discover that it is much more. The word Peace looks like this: Peace

#7965   (shaw-lome) safe, i.e. well, happy, friendly, welfare, i.e. health, prosperity, peace, good health, perfect, peaceable, prosper, rest, safety, to be well.

Shin = 300 Victory of good over evil, Holy Spirit.  Meaning:Teeth, Fire, the Fire of God to consume all His enemies, Devour, Destroy, Something Sharp.

Lamed = 30 Blood of Messiah, Dedication to a task.  Meaning: Staff, Goad or Stick, to Teach or Instruct, Authority, to Control, Urge Forward, a tongue

Vav = 6  Man. Meaning: Nail or Hook, to Secure, Pin together, Connect-Yeshua

Closed Mem = 600   Meaning: Womb, Water from the womb, Cleansing water, flowing water that brings life, (closed mems are always the last letter in a word and closed mems always hold Hidden Truth.)

PEACE  (Shin) Exercises Victory over All God’s enemies.  (Lamed), Peace Dedicates Himself to the Task, Teaching us how to walk in Humility and Authority.

Peace came as a (Vav) a Man (Yeshua), to be the Nail and take the Nail to Secure all mankind back into right relationship with God.

And (MEM) – Peace comes as a cleansing water that brings life, and holding hidden truth.

When Peace comes, all fear and anxiety leave.  We are washed free of worry and fret.  And we are able to think more clearly and make decisions with more wisdom.

So, the word Shalom means more than peace.  It means well-being in all aspects of life; physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.  When one Jew greets another with the word “Shalom,” he is saying more than, “Have a nice day.”

Shalom means “May all that you need for your well-being today come to you.” That’s SHALOM.  Our Yeshua, the God of Peace, is our SHALOM.  He is our ‘Well-Being Authority.’

Here are some scriptures  where we can see Peace highlighted:

Numbers 6:24-26

“The Lord bless you and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
26 The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.”’

May God give you everything you stand in need of for your well-being.

Deuteronomy 20:10-11

“When you go near a city to fight against it, then proclaim an offer of peace to it.  And it shall be that if they accept your offer of peace, and open to you, then all the people who are found in it shall be placed under tribute to you, and serve you.

This is the announcement or offer they were making: We’ve come to fight for this land, but if you will surrender to us, we will bless you with everything you need for your well-being.

Isaiah 26:3

You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.

God will keep us in perfect peace—Everything we need for our well-being will be provided when we keep our minds on Him and trust Him.

Isaiah 9:6  — Jesus is our Prince of Peace

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

When we have His peace, there isn’t any reason for fear.  Peace is more than a warm relaxed feeling.  There are great treasures of substance in this word Peace.

May we all learn to live in Peace.  Shalom
