He is a Resident Counselor

Now, let’s look Yeshua’s second name mentioned in Isaiah 9:6. “And His name shall be called COUNSELOR.”

Counselor is Strong’s #3289 יָעַץ yâʻats, yaw-ats’; a primitive root; to advise; reflexively, to deliberate or resolve:—advertise, take advise, advise (well), consult, (give, take) counsel(-lor), determine, devise, guide, purpose.

The letters from right to left are:

Yod  = 10 The outcome, the completion of something. Meaning: Hand, Right Arm, Power.  Right hand of God’s power, a Deed Done, to Work, to Cover, Allow, Hollow, Open Hand.

Ayin = 70 Completion of Time.   Meaning: Eye, to See, Understand, Experience, or to be Seen.

Tzade = 90 Humility.  Meaning: Righteousness, a Fishhook, to Pull Toward, Desire, Trouble, Harvest.

Putting this all together, COUNSELOR declares more of Yeshua’s destiny and ours. In Hebrew, it means:

(Yod) God completed something with His Right Hand of power.  The ‘right’ hand in scripture refers to God’s supernatural strength. So, God Opened His Hand and (Ayin) brought forth One we could See and Experience in the Completion of Time.  He brought forth One who was (Tzade) Humble, Righteous, and One who would Counsel and Advise us and enable us to bring Harvest for the Kingdom.

Here are some scriptures supporting this:

Jeremiah 10:7

Who would not fear You, O King of the nations?

For this is Your rightful due.

For among all the wise men of the nations,

And in all their kingdoms,

There is none like You.

Jeremiah 10:12He has made the earth by His power, He has established the world by His wisdom, And has stretched out the heavens at His discretion. O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!

1 Corinthians 1:26-31 For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. 27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; 28 and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, 29 that no flesh should glory in His presence. 30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— 31 that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.”

Isaiah 11:2 The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.

Colossians 2:1-3 For I want you to know what a great conflict I have for you and those in Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh, 2 that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

In this season of deception and chaos on all fronts, we all need wisdom and counsel.  We have the blessed privilege to receive Counsel from the Wisdom of the ages.

James wrote this in James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

If you need some advice today, His line is always open, and He is waiting to answer.  🙂  We have a huge harvest coming who will be in great need of His wisdom and counsel.  They won’t be helped by our traditions and methods.  They will need fresh manna to feed their souls.  Will we be willing to seek His counsel first? That is my prayer for all of us.

Shalom ♥
