Yeshua is the Mighty God

When I looked at the next title given to Yeshua, I was blown away.  There is a truckload of treasure here.  Read it slowly.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God...

We’ll start with MIGHTY.

#1368 in Strong’s.  It is pronounced ‘gib boar’.  It is an adjective meaning brave, strong, mighty.  The word refers to God Himself as ‘el (413) usually rendered as the Mighty God (Isaiah 10:21; Jeremiah 32:18) It is used to describe the Child born to rule and govern God’s Kingdom as Mighty God (Isaiah 9:6) It describes the might and power of the messianic King (Psalms 45:3).

The primary root number is #1396, pronounced ‘ga ver.’ It is a verb meaning to be strong, to prevail.  It is used to indicate superior strength or success over someone.  In a temporal sense, it means to remain, to prevail.  It is used in a form of the verb that means to cause a covenant to be established, or possibly to cause a covenant to prevail.

Are you ready for the treasure?  The spelling for #1368 is גִּבּוֹר

Gimmel = 3 Divine perfection.  Meaning: Camel, Generous Rich Man, To Lift Up and to Give, to Benefit, to Toil, to Retaliate

Bet = 2 Divide or Division Meaning” House/Family, God’s word, God’s dwelling place

Vav = 6Man.  Meaning: Nail or Hook, to Secure, Pin Together, Connect – Yeshua

Resh = 200 Insufficiency. Meaning: Head, Chief, Beginning, Highest, Most Important, A Person, Human Reasoning vs. Obedience.

When you put all of this together, ‘MIGHTY’ means: God in His (Gimmel) Divine Perfection Gave us a (Bet) House to live in.  That House (Bet) is also a (Vav)  Man named Yeshua, who was Nailed to a cross taking on our (Resh)  Insufficiency our acting in human reasoning vs. being obedient to God, and (Vav) Securing us to His All Sufficiency as (Resh)  Head over all Creation.

Now let’s look at the word ‘GOD’ in this verse:

There are many different words in Hebrew for God.  When you see the name God in the Bible, look up the reference in Strong’s and you will find a variety of names or attributes of His person.  In Isaiah 9:6 the name El is used for God. It is another name for Mighty. #410.

#410 ‘el A masculine noun meaning God, god, mighty one, hero.  This is one of the most ancient terms for God, god, or deity.

The primary root is #193, pronounced ‘ool.’ From an unused root meaning to twist, i.e. (by implication) to be strong; the body (as being rolled together); also powerful; mighty, strength.

In Hebrew, it is spelled אוּל.  Let’s see what treasure we can find.

Aleph =1 God, Echad, Unity, Unique, no other like it.  Meaning: Ox head. Strength or Leader, Most important, First, Strength and Power of a leader

Vav = 6Man.  Meaning: Nail or Hook, to Secure, Pin Together, Connect – Yeshua

Lamed = 30 Blood of Messiah, Dedication to a task.  Meaning: Staff, Goad or Stick, to Teach or Instruct, Authority, to Control, Urge Forward, a Tongue.

So, EL/GOD means: GOD (Aleph) the God of gods.  Yeshua is not God Jr.  He is God Himself. (El is used in this scripture, Psalm 50:1 “The Mighty One, God the Lord, Has spoken and called the earth from the rising of the sun to its going down.”)

We also see that (Aleph) God Who is also a(Vav) Man Yeshua, (Lamed) dedicated Himself to a Task.  The Task was to Teach us with Authority, the ways of the Kingdom with the Words He Spoke and the life He lived.

Altogether now: MIGHTY GOD

God in His Divine Perfection, Gave us a House to live in.  That House is also a Man named Yeshua, who was Nailed to a cross taking on our Insufficiency, our acting in human reasoning vs. being obedient to God, and Securing us to His All Sufficiency as Head over all Creation.   GOD, the God of gods,  is Yeshua, God Himself. He is also a Man Who dedicated Himself to a Task.  The Task was to Teach us with Authority, the ways of the Kingdom with the Words He Spoke and the life He lived.

Deuteronomy 7:21 KJVThou shalt not be affrighted at them: for the LORD thy God is among you, a mighty God and terrible.

Job 36:5“Behold, God is mighty, but despises no one;
He is mighty in strength of understanding.

Revelation 19:6And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent (Mighty) reigns!

What a MIGHTY GOD we have. And the mightiest aspect of His might is His love.  Everything He says or does flows from a foundation of Love. And He lives in us.  It’s time for us to receive His love and let Him activate His might to bring about His Kingdom.  As we take on our identity in Him, God’s Kingdom will be manifest on earth.

Shalom ♥
