On January 26, 2023, I was praying and asking God why many scriptures speak of Him being surrounded by darkness.

He made darkness His secret place;
His canopy around Him was dark waters
And thick clouds of the skies. Psalm 18:11

Clouds and thick darkness surround Him;
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.
Psalm 97:2

The mountain(Sinai) burned with fire to the midst of heaven, with darkness, cloud, and thick darkness. 12 And the Lord spoke to you out of the midst of the fire. You heard the sound of the words, but saw no form; you only heard a voice. Deuteronomy 4:11b-12

On the Mt. of Transfiguration–…a cloud came and overshadowed them; and they were fearful as they entered the cloud. 35 And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!” 36 When the voice had ceased, Jesus was found alone. Luke 9:34-36a

This was His answer to me:

“Darkness is coming Beloved. The world will not see Me and be afraid. I am surrounded in darkness to more brilliantly shine the light. When darkness comes, look up and rejoice, your redemption is on its way. I will speak from the darkness and those with ears to hear will hear and shout for joy. Others will cower with fear, trembling under the power of My Presence.

Minister life to them. Share My love. Their eyes have been blinded to the truth. Share it now. Share it boldly and watch and see what I will do.

There will be a harvest from the darkness that will shock the world. Many that the enemy held captive will turn and tell others. They will go into the darkness and pull out their friends with the light of My truth and love.

Get ready to be amazed. There is an army of evangelists to be born out of the darkness.

It only takes a spark to get a fire going.

Drug dens and pimping stations will turn to altars of repentance and praise.

My ways are not your ways.”

~~~Darkness is coming my friends, but do not fear. Isaiah 61:1-3 is about to manifest and if we are His, we will be part of the unfolding. We will see the world transformed. And we will join God’s army of the redeemed and be Light carriers with them.

Isaiah 61:1-3
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
3
To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
