I’ve been waiting to have a hard copy in my hand, but I can’t wait any longer. My first devotional is on Amazon. In our Topsy-turvy world of uncertainties, rest is hard to come by, but it is the only place of peace.
In Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus says, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”Jesus promises rest for our souls. But what does rest look like? It is much more than lying down for a nap.
The word ‘yoke’ in this passage means a way of life. But how do we live in rest? In the forty years, I’ve been journaling, God spoke to me many times about rest. This small volume holds sixty different entries about rest I heard from Him in the secret place. Each entry and its scripture can be read in a few minutes. Take them in, meditate on them through the day. Ask God how best to apply them to your life. Listen and begin your own secret place journal. Let Him reset your soul.
