Monday Manna – Waiting and Stillness Have Divine Purpose

waitingIf you have ears to hear, you know God is about to move in ways He’s never moved before.  And He’s told us we will be part of the unfolding.  This is exciting and waiting for it to materialize or receiving the details seems endless, almost to the point of despair.

I came across these words of encouragement in my journals this morning.  May you be blessed.

Be still.  Be at rest.  There is no shadow of turning in Me.  I am consistent.  I am the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.  Though your experience with Me changes from day to day, hour to hour, I do not change.  I am Love, I am Life, I am Peace, Joy, Wisdom, Mercy, Power, Justice.  I am and forever will be the same.  That means I am your ever-present help.  I will never leave you or forsake you.

I will not fail you.  I will fulfill all that I have spoken.

Lord, where am I?

In the waiting room.

Father, I’m wanting to DO something, BE engaged in some pursuit.  I’m restless.

Be still, there is purpose in the waiting.

Lord, what is the purpose?

My timing.  I am not in a hurry and I do all things with order.

“The steps of a righteous man are ordered by the Lord.—Psalm 37:27

Waiting is part of the surrender process.  It’s resting in Me completely for the set time for My word to be fulfilled.

Habakkuk 2:3 For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.

1 Peter 5:6-7  Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Romans 5:6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
