Monday Manna – Attitude Adjustment Needed

It was May 2008.  Our home had been on the market for some time but there was little sign of it selling.  I was asking the Lord again about the timing and delay:

“Lord are You waiting on our cooperation in some way or are there other factors?”

“It’s My wisdom to wait.” He said.   “Trust in Me, I am trustworthy.  There is no need to fear.  I’m not punishing you—it’s all to your best good and My glory.  There is a way that leads to life, but few there be that find it.  You are on your way.  No fear.  Trust.  All is well.  I long to fulfill all of My words to you and so I shall.

There are serendipity times—surprises ahead.  Be on the lookout.  Breakthrough in areas you never considered possible.  I know the plans I have for you.  Plans not to harm but to give you hope and a future.  Bright future.  Be on the Lookout.  Look up your salvation draws nigh.  What I’ve said, I will do!

Do!  Do! Do unto others as you would have others do unto Me.  Treat others with the respect and love you would want them to respect and love Me.  I am worthy of love and respect and so are they.

You have opportunities before you and you may dismiss the very ones I am sending to you for love and encouragement.  Look to Me and I will put food in your hands to feed their bodies and their souls.  Love and respect My little ones.”

For me, this was an attitude adjustment.  We sometimes get so focused on our lives and our wants that we fail to consider anyone else. We fail to see or hear God’s holy nudges.   Plus, the other thing I’ve discovered is the more we press in for our will, the longer it takes to manifest.  Resting, trusting, and walking in obedience to His leading and opportunities accelerates the process.

I came across this quote from Teresa of Avila:

“Christ has no body now but yours. No hands, no feet on earth but yours. Yours are the eyes through which he looks compassion on this world. Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good. Yours are the hands through which he blesses all the world. Yours are the hands, yours are the feet, yours are the eyes, you are his body. Christ has no body now on earth but yours.”

Let’s lay our wants in His hands and be about our Father’s business.  Let’s be His hands and feet and follow His leading as He perfectly guides us to the fulfillment of His word.

Have a wonderful week. ♥
