We all likely learned, “Jesus loves me this I know…” But, do we Know?

One morning when I wasn’t feeling on top of my game as a Christian, I said to Abba, “Father, I LOVE YOU.”  I wanted Him to know that even though I felt like a failure when I considered the price He paid for my sin, I loved Him. Here is how He responded:

“I’m right here Beloved, I’ve not left you,” He said. “ I will never leave you.”

Abba, why do I struggle so with knowing  Your love?

“Because you’ve equated My love for you with performance.  If you believe your performance is inadequate, then you believe My love for you has diminished.  NOT TRUE‼

“My love for you NEVER changes.  The playlist of My love never needs rebooting.  My love never fails, never gives up, never runs out on you.  NEVER.

“Your ways are not My ways Beloved.  Trust Me and love the ones you are with.  They are learning too. None of you have all the answers.”

What do I need to know today, Father?

“That as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is My love for you.” 

John 17:22-23 …that they may be one just as We are one:  23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
