Fix Your Gaze on Jesus Christ-Part 2: Song of Songs 5:11a

CaptureHis head is as the most fine gold…

 Song of Songs 5:11a

The head of our Bridegroom King is like the finest gold.  He holds the place of preeminence over every other person, place or thing in all of the universe.  In the end, EVERY knee will bow before Him.  But let’s look at what these words are really describing.

Solomon described Him this way:  Song of Solomon 5:11 His head is as the most fine gold…

Paul described His headship in several places.  Here are just a few:

Ephesians 1:20-23 says, “He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.  22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

Colossians 2:9-10 declares, “In Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily and you are complete in Him who is head of all principality and power.”

Ephesians 4:11-16  And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the headChrist— 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

David knew Him before the world ever saw Him.

Psalm 95:3  For the LORD is the great God and the great King above all gods.

And John wrote of our soon coming King in Revelation 19:16 (I love this scripture and long for the day to see it in person.)

And He has on His robe and on His thigh, a name written. King of kings and Lord of lords.

Unlike any other ever created, there is no mixture in Him.  He is as the purest gold.

Let’s look at the Hebrew letters that make up this noble description.

Finest Gold: Strong’s # 6337 from <6338> פָּזַז You will be interested to know that the word for gold in Hebrew is pronounced pa-zaz.  😊 and it means refined or to refine.

Reading from right to left in the Hebrew spelling there is a Pey and two Zayins. gold

Pey 80 = New Governmental Order.  Means: Mouth, to Speak, Open or Beginning.

Zayin 7 = completeness, Perfection, Fullness.  Means: Sword of the Spirit, Dagger, Weapon or Seed

Zayin 7 = completeness, Perfection, Fullness.  Means: Sword of the Spirit, Dagger, Weapon or Seed

When you put all of this together: The head of our Bridegroom King, is of finest GOLD representing Yeshua as the beginning of the new governmental order established through what He spoke.  His words were spiritual weapons or seeds that brought forth completeness and perfection.

Sounds like Hebrews 4:12-13: For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.  13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

Today, as kings and priests, sons and daughters of God, we are called to release God’s Kingdom government on this earth.  One of the main ways we do that is through the words we speak.

Ask the Lord today if there is a word He wants you to declare in your home, over your city,  or over your country.  We need His government in every area of our lives.  Let’s partner with Him and display His head of finest gold.
