Monday Manna – How to grow in the awareness of God

One morning as I sat with the Lord He asked me, What is it that you want?  How can I meet your need?

Father, I want a greater awareness of Your nearness.  I would love to see more in the spirit and discern Your activity in my life and in the lives of others. I feel as if that isn’t the best request I could make—like You may be disappointed in it.

How could you disappoint Me, when I am the one who placed the desire in your heart?  Nothing is too big or too small Beloved. Nothing.  Ask of Me.  Ask and believe.

Abba, I thought I was believing, yet the manifestations I’ve asked for delay.

Delay is not denial Beloved.  Rest in My time, My time…

(hearing the ticking of a metronome) Perfect sequence.  It’s the clock face again isn’t it Lord?

Yes, you’ve taken your eyes off of Me and on to the circumstances.  No rest there Beloved.  No joy, no peace.

Turn your eyes upon Jesus

Look full in His wonderful face

And the things of earth will grow strangely dim

In the light of His glory and grace.

Michael W. Smith, “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus.

Eyes on Me Beloved.  Eyes on Me.

Give Me your eyes for just one second

Give Me your eyes so you can see

Everything you have been missing

Give Me your eyes for eternity.

Brandon Heath – “Give Me Your Eyes.”

So much to see and so much to do.   In My time, in My time.  I make all things beautiful in My time.

This time, now is the time for discovery.  Discovery at a deeper level of My faithfulness.  Discovery of the freedom afforded you as you rest in Me.

Rest IS a weapon.  One that I AM equipping you with.  You must learn to use it while you have the time to practice.  All is not lost.  There is no waste in my perfect plan.

Graham (Cooke) has won a corner on this market of rest.  He’s fought hard for it and it is now a polished weapon in his arsenal against the enemy.

That is one of the main reasons I asked you to look at his books etc.  Rest is a key for what this world holds in store.

I rested in the midst of great threats and stresses and you can too.  Your best learning comes in times of rest, NOT striving.

Rest comes through knowing Me and knowing your place in Me. Rest with Me in heavenly places and watch as I begin to unfold My plans to you.

No more striving in this season.  Rest with your daily portion.  I am bringing you the things you need to see and hear.  Rest in My provision.  I do all things well.

Let Me establish you, not in your performance, but in My love.

Rest and know that I am bringing to pass all I have promised you.  ALL—My memory is better than yours and I remember what the ALL is.

Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God

James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

Psalm 123:2 Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters,
As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress,
So our eyes look to the Lord our God,
Until He has mercy on us.
