God Words – Wonderful & Counselor

d246436077eea832658c87f17c46609aGood morning. Hope you are enjoying discovering the destiny of Jesus through His names. Today we are going to look at ‘WONDERFUL’ and ‘COUNSELOR.’

“And His name shall be called WONDERFUL…” Isaiah 9:6

What does Wonderful mean? It’s only when we see it in the original language of Hebrew, that we see the full picture. We use the word wonderful every day but when it’s applied to our Savior, it takes on glorious meaning.

The name Wonderful in this verse is #6382 in Strong’s Concordance.  It is spelled pele’ (peh’-leh) and it means a miracle, marvelous thing, wonderful or wonderfully.

But it’s primary root is #6381 – papa’ (paw-law)–It means properly, perhaps to separate, i.e. distinguish, by implication, to be or make great, difficult or wonderful. In the KJV: to accomplish, (arise…too, be too) hard, hidden, things too high, to be, do, show marvelous things, miracles, perform, separate, make singular, to be great, make wonderful or do wondrous things.

WONDERFUL in Hebrew is spelled AlephLamedPey-Fey

Pey-Fey Pey = 80 New governmental order.  It means: Mouth, to Speak or Open, Beginning

Lamed Lamed = 30  Blood of Messiah, Dedication to a task.  It means: Staff, Goad or Stick, to Teach or Instruct, Authority, to Control, Urge Forward, a Tongue.

Aleph Aleph = 1 God, Echad, Unity, Unique-no other like it.    It means: Ox head, Strength or Leader, Most Important, First, the Strength and Power of a Leader.

When you put all of this together, the WONDERFUL name of Jesus means: To speak into existence or Begin a New Governmental Order (Pay).  He will do this by His own Blood, Dedicated to the Task with Teaching, Instructions, and Authority (Lamed) as God, the Most Important Leader (Aleph)

Now that is WONDERFUL!!!

Matthew 21:12-16 says “Then Jesus went into the temple of God[a] and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. 13 And He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’”

14 Then the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them. 15 But when the chief priests and scribes saw the WONDERFUL things that He did, and the children crying out in the temple and saying, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” they were indignant 16 and said to Him, “Do You hear what these are saying?”

And Jesus said to them, “Yes. Have you never read,

‘Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants
You have perfected praise’?”

Now, let’s look at the fourth name mentioned in Isaiah 9:6.

“And His name shall be called COUNSELOR..”
What is a Counselor in God’s eyes? Let’s look at it through Hebrew glasses and see it’s meaning.
The name Counselor in this verse is #3289 in Strong’s Concordance.
It is a verb meaning to advise, to consult to counsel, to be advised, to deliberate, to conspire, to take counsel.  The verb also means to decide or make plans or decisions.
Here is what it looks like in Hebrew: TzadeAyinYod
Yod Yod  = 10 The outcome, the completion of something. Meaning: Hand, Right Arm, Power.  Right hand of God’s power, a Deed Done, to Work, to Cover, Allow, Hollow, Open Hand.

Ayin Ayin = 70 Completion of Time.   Meaning: Eye, to See, Understand, Experience, or to be Seen.

Tzade Tzade = 90 Humility.  Meaning: Righteousness, a Fishhook, to Pull Toward, Desire, Trouble, Harvest.

Putting this all together, COUNSELOR declares more of Yeshua’s destiny. In Hebrew it means: (Yod) God completed something with His Right Hand.  The ‘right’ hand in scripture refers to God’s supernatural strength. So, God Opened His Hand and (Ayin) brought forth One we could See and Experience in the Completion of Time.  He brought forth One who was (Tzade) Humble, Righteous and One who would Counsel and Advise us and enable us to bring Harvest for the Kingdom.

Here are some scriptures supporting this:

Luke 2:43, 46-47 When they had finished the days, as they returned, the Boy Jesus lingered behind in Jerusalem. And Joseph and His mother did not know it; 46 Now so it was that after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions. 47 And all who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers.

Matthew 7:28-29  And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching, 29 for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

John 7:15  And the Jews marveled, saying, “How does this Man know letters, having never studied?”

Colossians 2:3  in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

We have the blessed privilege to receive Counsel from the Wisdom of the ages.  Wonder why we don’t always look to Him first?

James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

If you need some advise today, His line is always open and He is waiting to answer.  🙂  If your life is in turmoil, He will help you establish new government and bring order to the chaos.  May we be listening for His voice and instruction today, willing to quickly do what He’s calling us to do.  That is my prayer for all of us.

Have a blessed day with our Wonderful, Counselor, and Savior.  Not only is He Wonderful and our Counselor, He is also Mighty God.
