Okay, you all have a handle on this right? There can’t be too many surprises in Mighty God, or can there? Are you ready to get totally blessed? When I looked at this next title given to Yeshua, I was blown away. There is a truckload of treasure here. Read it slowly. There’s some preachin’ ground here.
We’ll start with MIGHTY.
#1368 in Strong’s. It is pronounced ‘gib boar’. It is an adjective meaning brave, strong, mighty. The word refers to God Himself as ‘el (413) usually rendered as the Mighty God (Isaiah 10:21; Jeremiah 32:18) It is used to describe the Child born to rule and govern God’s Kingdom as Mighty God (Isaiah 9:6) It describes the might and power of the messianic King (Psalms 45:3).
The primary root number is #1396, pronounced ‘ga ver.’ It is a verb meaning to be strong, to prevail. It is used to indicate superior strength or success over someone. In a temporal sense, it means to remain, to prevail. It is used in a form of the verb that means to cause a covenant to be established, or possibly to cause a covenant to prevail.
Are you ready for the treasure? The spelling for 1368 is
Gimmel = 3 Divine perfection. Meaning: Camel, Generous Rich Man, To Lift Up and to Give, to Benefit, to Toil, to Retaliate
Bet = 2 Divide or Division Meaning” House/Family, God’s word, God’s dwelling place
Vav = 6 Man. Meaning: Nail or Hook, to Secure, Pin Together, Connect – Yeshua
Resh = 200 Insufficiency. Meaning: Head, Chief, Beginning, Highest, Most Important, A Person, Human Reasoning vs. Obedience.
When you put all of this together, ‘MIGHTY’ means: God in His Divine Perfection (Gimmel) Gave us a House (Bet) to live in. That House (Bet) is also a Man (Vav) named Yeshua, who was Nailed to a cross taking on our Insufficiency (Resh) our acting in human reasoning vs. being obedient to God, and Securing (Vav) us to His All Sufficiency as Head (Resh) over all Creation.
Now let’s look at ‘GOD’:
There are many different words in Hebrew for God. When you see the name God in the Bible, look up the reference in Strong’s and you will find a variety of names or attributes of His person. In Isaiah 9:6 the name El is used for God. It is another name for Mighty. #410.
#410 ‘el A masculine noun meaning God, god, mighty one, hero. This is one of the most ancient terms for God, god, or deity. This word is used with various descriptive adjectives or attributes. It is used as the God of gods (Psalms 50:1) and is most often used to mean the one true God (Psalms 5:4; Isaiah 40:18). The holy God is contrasted to humans (Hosea 11:9) and the High God El (Genesis 14:18; 16:13; Ezekiel 28:2), the Lord (Yahweh) as a title of Israel according to the Lord’s own claim (Genesis 33:20; Isaiah 40:18) the God of Israel, the Lord (Numbers 23:8; Psalm 118:27); and God (Job 5:8).
The primary root is #193 , pronounced ‘ool.’ From an unused root meaning to twist, i.e. (by implication) to be strong; the body (as being rolled together); also powerful; mighty, strength.
In Hebrew it is spelled . Let’s see what treasure we can find.
Aleph =1 God, Echad, Unity, Unique, no other like it. Meaning: Ox head. Strength or Leader, Most important, First, Strength and Power of a leader
Vav = 6 Man. Meaning: Nail or Hook, to Secure, Pin Together, Connect – Yeshua
Lamed = 30 Blood of Messiah, Dedication to a task. Meaning: Staff, Goad or Stick, to Teach or Instruct, Authority, to Control, Urge Forward, a Tongue.
So, EL/GOD means: GOD (Aleph) the God of gods. Yeshua is not God Jr. He is God Himself. (El is used in this scripture, Psalm 50:1 “The Mighty One, God the Lord, Has spoken and called the earth from the rising of the sun to its going down.”) We also see that God (Aleph) Who is also a Man (Vav), Yeshua, dedicated Himself to a Task (Lamed). The Task was to Teach us with Authority, the ways of the Kingdom with the Words He Spoke and the life He lived.
Altogether now: MIGHTY GOD
God in His Divine Perfection, Gave us a House to live in. That House is also a Man named Yeshua, who was Nailed to a cross taking on our Insufficiency, our acting in human reasoning vs. being obedient to God, and Securing us to His All Sufficiency as Head over all Creation. GOD, the God of gods, is Yeshua, God Himself. He is also a Man Who dedicated Himself to a Task. The Task was to Teach us with Authority, the ways of the Kingdom with the Words He Spoke and the life He lived.
Is this not amazing that His destiny is encrypted in His name?
One final scripture: Isaiah 43:10-15
“You are My witnesses,” says the Lord,
“And My servant whom I have chosen,
That you may know and believe Me,
And understand that I am He.
Before Me there was no (Mighty)God formed,
Nor shall there be after Me.
11 I, even I, am the Lord,
And besides Me there is no savior.
12 I have declared and saved,
I have proclaimed,
And there was no foreign god among you;
Therefore you are My witnesses,”
Says the Lord, “that I am (Mighty)God.
13 Indeed before the day was, I am He;
And there is no one who can deliver out of My hand;
I work, and who will reverse it?”
14 Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer,
The Holy One of Israel…
15 I am the Lord, your Holy One,
The Creator of Israel, your King.”
What a MIGHTY GOD we have. AND He lives in us. It’s time to make His presence known.
I just love those words in Isaiah… “besides Me there is no savior.” He truly is a Mighty God. xoxox
Me too Nancy. There is NO one like our God!!
