Angels are our guardians and God’s messengers. We interact with them every day, yet few of us see them. David knew from experience (2 Samuel 24) that God’s angels are mighty and they act on God’s word. (Psalm 103:20)
In our world, angels are depicted as chubby cherubs, pin-up glamour girls in gossamer attire, or effeminate males. Rarely do you see the mighty angels mentioned of the Bible that took out armies or battled satan’s demons in the second heaven. Let’s look at the first part of Psalm 91:11 now and see what God’s angels do.
For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
Psalm 91:11
The phrase, His Angels comes from Strong’s #4397 and it looks like this: It comes from an unused root meaning to despatch as a deputy; a messenger of God, an angel, ambassador, angel, or king.
Here are the letters from right to left:
= Mem 40= Trial, Testing, Tribulation. Means Womb, Water from the womb, Cleansing water, flowing water that brings life, Mighty, Massive Chaos, Humility, taking the low place, hidden relationship with God, Cleansing water, flowing water that brings life.
= Lamed 30 = Blood of Messiah, Dedication to a task. Means: Staff, Goad or Stick, to Teach or Instruct, Authority, to Control, Urge Forward, a Tongue
= Aleph 1= God – Echad – Unity, Unique (no other like it) Means: Ox head—Strength or Leader, Most Important, First – The Strength and Power of the leader
= Kaf 20 = Anointing of the hand on the head, Redemption. Means: To Bend Down, Surrender, Palm of the Hand, Wing – Good works with our hand in Yeshua
ANGELS: His angels show up in times of trial or testing and they are Mighty (Mem). They move by God’s (Aleph) Instruction (Lamed) completely Surrendered (Final Kaf) to the Authority and Power of God (Aleph/Lamed).
God gives them CHARGE over us:
Charge is Strong’s #6680 and it looks like this: It is a primitive root meaning to constitute, enjoin, appoint, forbid, to give a charge, to give or send with a command, send a messenger, or put in order.
The letters tell us more:
= Tzade 90 = Humility. Picture-Fishhook. Means: Righteousness, to pull toward, Desire, Trouble, Harvest
= Vav 6 = Man. Means: Nail or Hook, to Secure, Pin together, Connect -Yeshua
= Hey 5 = Grace. Means: Revelation – 5 is the number of Torah, Behold, Give Attention – (at the end of a word: comes from letter before)
GIVE CHARGE: He sends His angels to draw us to Himself (Tzade) and Secure us (Vav) in Him, Revealing His will (Hey).
The next part of the verse is, “…To KEEP YOU in all your ways. “
To Keep Thee is a phrase found in Strong’s #8104 and it looks like this: It is a primitive root meaning to hedge about (as with thorns), to guard, to protect, attend to, to observe, preserve, regard, reserve, to save, lay in wait for, or to watch. It sounds like a tall order to me.
Here are the letters:
= Shin 300 = Victory of good over evil, Holy Spirit. Means: Teeth, Fire, the Fire of God to consume all His enemies, Devour, Destroy, Something Sharp.
= Mem 40= Trial, Testing, Tribulation. Means Womb, Water from the womb, Cleansing water, flowing water that brings life, Mighty, Massive Chaos, Humility, taking the low place, hidden relationship with God, Cleansing water, flowing water that brings life.
= Resh 200 = Insufficiency, Poverty. Picture: Head Means: Head, Chief, Beginning, Highest, Most Important, a Person, Human Reasoning vs. Obedience. (When we allow human reasoning to be our master, our head, poverty of the Spirit results.)
TO KEEP THEE: The angels are charged to destroy our enemies with God’s Fire (Shin). In times of trial and testing (Mem), they are sent to exchange our insufficient strength or human reasoning (Resh) with His power drawing us back into hidden relationship in Him (Mem) and full obedience to Him who is the Head over all principalities and powers (Resh).
In times of trial, our own ideas are no match when the warfare is intense. It is not by our might, nor by our power that the battle can be won. Only by His Spirit, Who is often working through angelic beings, do we overcome.
Now, notice here, that God’s charge to the angels is not only for times of trial but a 24/7 watch.
In ALL THY WAYS is a phrase found in Strong’s #1870 and it looks like this: It is from #1869 with the same spelling. #1869 means to tread, to walk, also to string a bow (by treading on it in bending), to bend, to come, to draw, go (over), to guide, lead, or to thresh.
Here are the letters:
= Dallet 4 = Earth or creation. Means: Door, Gate, Impoverished man, to come from indicates a pathway, a place of decision, or an entrance to life or death.
= Resh 200 = Insufficiency, Poverty. Picture: Head Means: Head, Chief, Beginning, Highest, Most Important, a Person, Human Reasoning vs. Obedience. (When we allow human reasoning to be our master, our head, poverty of the Spirit results.)
= Kaf 20 = Anointing of the hand on the head, Redemption. Means: To Bend Down, Surrender, Palm of the Hand, Wing – Good works with our hand in Yeshua
IN ALL THY WAYS: Wherever we go, in all that we do, He is the Door we go through (Dallet). As we remain Surrendered in the palm of His Hand (Kaf), our Insufficiency turns to strength (Resh).
As I went through my journals I found some wonderful revelation that God shared with me about angels. I will put that in my next post because it covers both verses 11 and 12. However, I found another one that shows you a little about what angels do. I hope you are blessed.
~~~Journal Notes~~~
In April of 2013, God spoke to me about times ahead:
“The River is flowing Beloved. I am washing My Bride. She is being washed by My Word and My Spirit. All that has hindered is being removed in My cleansing stream.”
“All things ARE working together for good. Do not bemoan the process. It is a divine work. The smallest detail is not overlooked. I am fashioning My jewels, My treasures.”
- (I knew He was speaking of the scripture in Malachi 3:16-17)
Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another,
And the Lord listened and heard them;
So a book of remembrance was written before Him
For those who fear the Lord
And who meditate on His name. - 17 “They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts,
“On the day that I make them My jewels.
And I will spare them
As a man spares his own son who serves him.”
“Out of your belly flows rivers of living water. My River washes and purifies. Out of the issues of your heart, your mouth speaks. Do not pollute with your mouth what I am birthing in you. Come to Me often and let me wash your heart of all the hurt and wounds and bring healing. Let Me purify your heart that you may be wholly Mine.”
“Dive deep into My River of love. Let My word and My Spirit wash you and bring forth the beauty I saw when I created you.”
“Is there more Abba? What more do I need to know Holy Spirit?”
“You are loved with an everlasting love that goes beyond any love this world has known. My love burns like fire and removes every hindrance, every wound, and seals you as My own.”
“When I sent the angels out to mark the intercessors in the city, I was sealing them, marking them for salvation.”
- Lord said to him, ‘Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done within it.’ To the others He said in my hearing, ‘Go after him through the city and kill…but do not come near anyone on whom is the mark; and begin at My sanctuary.’ (Ezekiel 9:4-6)
“Destruction did not touch them because their hearts were wholly Mine. I am sending My angels again. The time is short and destruction is near. I am looking for those whose hearts are Mine. Don’t bemoan the process; it is a divine work of My love.”
“Soon My fire will come to test. Your hearts will be revealed by fire. Only those with pure hearts will stand. Choose you this day whom you will serve—the gods of this world or Yahweh Elohim.”
“The time is short Beloved. The time to choose is now. No more mixture, no more self-centeredness.”
I believe we are in these times now. It is a time of choosing even as the battle intensifies. We have everything we need in what He’s already given us. May we choose to surrender fully to Him and do His will is my prayer. May His kingdom be manifest on earth through us.
Shalom ♥
