For He Shall Grow Up Before Him – Isaiah 53:2a — Focus 30

Isaiah 53_2aWe are going to do a little more digging in Isaiah 53 today.  There are gems hidden even in these introductory remarks. The choice and spelling of the words have been done with precision, unlike any other text.  With each sweeping away of surface appearance, the exact description of Yeshua’s life is revealed.

Grab your tools, let’s go.  We will uncover this small piece in the first part of this verse:    For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground.

I don’t want you to be overwhelmed and not see all He wants to show us, so we will be taking this in mini pieces.

He shall GROW UP– Now that looks completely understandable.  Why do we even need to investigate it further?  Well, the answer to that question will soon be revealed.  But let’s just say that this isn’t the evening newspaper.  It is the Word of God and He doesn’t skimp on detail.

GROW UP is Strong’s #5927 and it looks like this: Grow up and here are some of its meanings–

  1. to go up, ascend
  2. to meet, visit, follow, depart, withdraw, retreat
  3. to go up, come up (of animals)
  4. to spring up, grow, shoot forth (of vegetation)
  5. to go up, go up over, rise (of natural phenomenon)
  6. to come up (before God)
  7. to go up, go up over, extend (of boundary)
  8. to excel, be superior to

But here is the breakdown of the letters from right to left:

Ayin 70= Completion of time.  Means:  Eye, to See, Understand, Experience, or to be Seen, Window of the soul-good or bad (made of a Zayin and Yod—Word and Spirit)

Lamed  30 =  Blood of Messiah, Dedication to a task.  Means: Staff, Goad or Stick, to Teach or Instruct, Authority, to Control, Urge Forward, a Tongue

Hey  5 = Grace.  Means: Revelation – 5 is the number of Torah, Behold, Give Attention – (at the end of a word: comes from letter before)

From these definitions we see:

Yeshua will come in the completion of time because He will see and understand our need for a Savior(Ayin).  He will come and dedicate Himself to the task of instructing us on the ways of the Kingdom and urge us forward with His words (Lamed).  His instruction will come with grace and revelation giving us the power to follow His ways (Hey).

Sounds like the Yeshua I know and He started when He was still a youth.

Alright, let’s wrap this up with BEFORE Him.  This comes from Strong’s #5440 from the primitive root #6937 and it looks like this:   Before Him And the Strong’s definitions is פָּנָה pânâh, paw-naw’; a primitive root; to turn; by implication, to face, i.e. appear, look, etc.:—appear, at (even-) tide, behold, cast out, come on, × corner, dawning, empty, go away, lie, look, mark, pass away, prepare, regard, (have) respect (to), (re-) turn (aside, away, back, face, self).

Again there are details on how Yeshua would live His life–Let’s look at the letters:

Pey 80 = New Governmental Order.  Means: Mouth, to Speak, Open or Beginning.

Nun  50 = Restoration, Holy Spirit, Jubilee. Means: Life or Action

Hey  5 = Grace.  Means: Revelation – 5 is the number of Torah, Behold, Give Attention – (at the end of a word: comes from letter before)

Isaiah tells us:

Yeshua will grow up as a young man ever turned toward His Father.  He will pay attention to what Abba is speaking and institute a new governmental order (Pey).  Thus, He will speak what Abba is speaking and put into action God’s plan for life as led by the Holy Spirit (Nun).  He will restore God’s original plan through His words and how He lives based on the revelation He is seeing and hearing (Hey).

I am a few steps ahead of you in the dig, but believe it is important that we meditate on each revelation and let our appreciation of Yeshua grow and root into our hearts.

Where we sometimes have difficulty giving up our favorite seat at church :), Yeshua left heavens glory, left His place as Almighty God (Isaiah 9:11), stripped Himself of every vestige of nobility and came to earth to live as one of us and set us free.

We will uncover a little more next week–God willing.  But for now, focus on His goodness and His willingness set aside His privileges and live among us.  We are blessed to be His. ♥
