Monday Manna – Choice–Overwhelmed or Joy-Filled?

monday-manna3Years ago, I went to the Lord with this confession: “Lord, as I look at the overview of this week and its projected activities and responsibilities, I am tempted to feel overwhelmed.” Immediately He began with this prompt from Psalm 116:17 and followed with His counsel:

Return to your rest O my soul.  I the Lord, have dealt bountifully with you.   You see the activities and responsibilities, but you don’t see the opportunities for My grace, for My love to shine through.  I do some of My best work in the midst of your “impossible times.” But your resting and trusting in Me will open doors of access to My Spirit that will carry you in joy through this week.

This week is a GIFT from Me to you.  Unwrap it with joy and celebrate every moment knowing that you are living out My plan with Me at your side.

I told you that I would not leave you comfortless but would send another Comforter, even the Spirit of Truth.  Call out to Me for truth this week and let Me show you what’s really going on.  Greater are those that are with you than those against you.

I’ve gone before you to prepare a place for you—many places to fulfill My will and find joy in the process.  Look with eyes of love.  Look for ways to bless others.  Look for ways to encourage, edify, compliment and help.

Psalm 116:7 Return to your rest, O my soul, For the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.

Exodus 14:13a And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today.

John 14:18 KJV  I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Deuteronomy 31:8 And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”

As we end this year of 2018 and step over the threshold into 2019, let’s stay in the present, remember God is with us, enter into His joy, and look for opportunities to share His love.

Have a Happy New Year!  Shalom
