In August of 2012, I cried out for God’s help. “I need to see from heaven today. I need Your perspective. As I look at my friends and all they are going through—I need Your thoughts.”
“Come sit with Me, Beloved.”
I see us sitting on a cloudy ledge peering over with joy filled expressions on our faces. Looking down I see fires, flood, warfare. I turn to ask, but Jesus speaks before my words form—“My mercy never fails.” Then I hear Isaiah 53:1—“Who has believed our report?”
“There is more to be learned of My mercy than what is being taught. There are boundaries and lines, but My love, My kindness, My mercy never fails and it goes beyond all that has been reported.”
“Trust in Me. Trust in My timing. My Grace. My mercy never fails. Really, it NEVER fails. The price has been paid for all.”
Another time as I sat with the Lord in my morning quiet time I wrote in my journal:
I see a bay of turquoise water. It is warm and tropical in feel. I see Jesus sitting in a small boat.
“Get in Beloved.”
I get into a dingy with Jesus and He rows out into the bay. We can look over the side and see deep into the water…corral and fish are clearly visible.
“Can you see it clearly, Beloved?”
Yes, it is beautiful.
“When you sit in heavenly places with Me, this is the kind of view you have there as well. You can pray and decree out of a broader, clearer vision than if you were in the middle of the activity.”
~~
Often we pray and speak from the middle of the activity. We see life from a worldly plane and do not have heaven’s perspective. In both of these encounters I realized first, greater understanding comes when we see from heavenly places. And second, with understanding and clearer vision, our words can align with God and angels are activated bringing about His will.
Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
Ephesians 2:4-6 God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus
Psalm 103: 20-21“Bless the Lord, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word, heeding the voice of His word. Bless the Lord all you His hosts, you ministers of His, who do His pleasure”
Let’s remember who we are and where we are and let God’s perspective direct our prayers, our declarations and our lives.
