In March 2013, I had a bout with frustration. While I was sharing truth, it wasn’t always well received. When I went to the Lord about it, He shared some insight that I needed:
“Rest in Me Beloved. Truth is like a stepping stone. One must take it a step at a time. Truth cannot be gained fully in a moment unless I ignite it and impart it. Sometimes that is necessary and right, but most of the time I lead you step by step. You cannot force feed truth, it must be chewed slowly and digested. I am giving you bites to share, pieces that once digested will stir hunger for more.
“You cannot force feed truth, it must be chewed slowly and digested. I am giving you bites to share, pieces that once digested will stir hunger for more.
“Don’t grow impatient with the process. All time is in My hands.”
Later, in May of that year, He told me more.
“I am leading you. I am teaching you. You are following and My dust is seen on you.”
(There was an understanding in Jesus’ day, that true disciples walked close enough to their rabbis – teachers – that the dust he stirred as his walked fell on them.)
“Fear not Beloved. You can only feed others by mouthfuls. They can’t digest a plate at a time. Let them chew it slowly and let it become part of who they are. It’s not a race. It’s not a competition or time limit. Give them the pieces I put in your hands and leave the rest to Me. Do you trust Me?
Yes, Abba I trust You.
“Good, now we can move forward.”
