Monday Manna – A Trip to His Garden of Refreshing

monday-manna2I love when Jesus takes me places and shows me things.  I believe this is for you as much as it is for me.  Be blessed.

From my journals, March 2009.

See myself outside a walled garden.  It looks like a scene from “The Secret Garden”.  I hear Jesus say, “Have I got a door for you.”  He is nearly laughing as He speaks.  “Come up here Beloved.”

Come up where Lord?

Come up here.

He is sitting on top of the wall reaching His hand out to me.  Taking my hand He steadies me as I climb the vines to join Him on top of the wall.

As we sit on the wall dangling our feet, I see before me running streams, tall pines, fruit trees loaded with fruit, birds are swooping and singing.  Butterflies are dancing from one flower to the next.

This is the Garden of Refreshing. Drink it in.

The fragrance is intoxicating.  Sweet peas, gardenias, lilacs, roses, pine and redwood, moist earth.

You can come here whenever you want.  I will always be here to meet you.  Drink Beloved, drink.  All of the fruits of the Spirit are represented here.

What do you need?  Peace?  Joy?  Kindness?  Goodness?  Self-Control?  It’s all here.  Taste and see that the Lord is good.

You asked Me a question.   “What do You want me to be more aware of?”

I want you to be more aware of the fullness available Beloved.  The fullness and rest from all your striving, all your worry, all your plans.

My storeroom is always open to you.  You have the key. (He showed me the cross) It’s all available.  Nothing held back.  All that I am is yours.  We are one in heart and mind and nature.  Come, let Me show you more.

He helps me down onto spongy earth.  Sunlight filters through trees with streams of glorious color.  Then I see another stream of liquid gold.

What is this Lord?

It is My nature.  My Character, tried in the fires of affliction and injustice, purified and freely given.  (Lord am I really hearing You?)

Look at Isaiah 33:14-16

“Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire?

Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?”

15 He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly,

He who despises the gain of oppressions,

Who gestures with his hands, refusing bribes,

Who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed,

And shuts his eyes from seeing evil:

16 He will dwell on high;

His place of defense will be the fortress of rocks;

Bread will be given him,

His water will be sure. NKJV

Living Water – Bread of Life.  Drink Beloved of this stream.  Drink and be refreshed.  All striving will cease, and all worry will leave.

We all need refreshing and if we invited Him to be Lord of our lives, there are resources in Him available for eternity.  Consider taking a trip to His garden of refreshing.  Breathe in the fragrance and drink from the golden stream of His character.  Striving will leave and all worry cease as you rest in the One who rules the universe.  Be blessed.

Acts 17:27b-28a. “He is not far from each one of us;  for in Him we live and move and have our being,…”
