My Love is Not Generic
(From my 2006 Journals)
“My love is not generic. It is specific and complete. Yes, I love the whole world but I love specifically. Each one, every one is a special treasure to Me. My joy would be incomplete without any one of them.”
“The lilt of their voice, whether weak or strident is music to My ears. When they speak, My heart quickens for each one as a caring mother separated by distance from her child.”
“There are no mistakes in My creation. Each person I formed specifically, uniquely, as they are. I have purpose in all and My purpose is for love to be expressed to them and through them. You must look with My Creator eyes to see the beauty in each one.”
Lord, I’ve asked You for years to give me Your eyes to see, Your ears to hear and Your heart to love those around me. What is the roadblock in my receiving these priceless gifts?
“My timing and Your fear.”
Fear of what Lord?
“Fear that you will see something in them that will diminish you. Fear that you will find something in them that makes you feel of lesser worth. Their beauty may offend you and diminish your own view of yourself.”
O Lord, help!
“When you see their beauty, you more easily see your flaws and pride screams, ‘No, shut that door!’”
“I set Paul free from these mindsets and I will set you free. Remember your weakness is the place for grace to shine. Admitting weakness, seeing another’s strength, is not bad or diminishing in any way. Paul said, ‘I will boast of my weaknesses that the power of Christ will be expressed through me.’” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
“Let go and let Me be your complete strength in every area. My love for you is limitless. It is as vast as the heavens and deep as the sea. I love you. Rest in My love and I will teach you.”
“I have known and believed the love God has for us. God is love and he who dwells in love dwells in God and God in him.” 1 John 4:16
