One morning, having just returned home from being gone a week and with family coming in a few days, to visit, I hit the ground running. So much to do and so little time. But first, I had to spend some time with my Creator:
Sitting in my prayer chair, I sighed and opened my hands to Abba. Before I said a word, I heard Him speak in my spirit, “Be still and know that I am God. Greater things are won by stillness than this world dreams of. It is My strength that enables you and it can only be accessed by leaning on Me. I call you to rest.
Look up. I will give you the strategy for every move. All your running will get you nowhere, but into confusion and burnout. The enemy loves to see you run and strive and worry.
Lay it all down, all of it. You can’t figure it out or manipulate the pieces to fit. Only I see the finished picture, and only I know the order that the pieces must be placed.
You must walk with Me, in Me, to see the victory I have planned. Time with Me. Time in My word, with My Spirit…this, is your place of rest. This is your place of battle. Without the strategies of heaven, you are a warrior swinging wildly and your foe is just beyond your reach.
Stop, Look, Listen. I have plans for you, plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. You must spend time with Me to receive the plans. I call you to REST.
R—receive
E—eternal
S—strategies for
T—triumph
Felt led to blindly open my Bible. My eyes fell on verse 30 of Psalm 18. Here it is in context:
Psalm 18:28-34
For You cause my lamp to be lighted and to shine;
The Lord my God illumines my darkness.
29 For by You I can crush a troop,
And by my God I can leap over a wall.
30 As for God, His way is blameless.
The word of the Lord is tested [it is perfect, it is faultless];
He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.
31 For who is God, but the Lord?
Or who is a rock, except our God,
32 The God who encircles me with strength
And makes my way blameless?
33 He makes my feet like hinds’ feet [able to stand firmly and tread safely on paths of testing and trouble];
He sets me [securely] upon my high places.
34 He trains my hands for war,
So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. AMP
Then I opened an email and found a stereo word: I love it how He speaks to us.
*SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS:
“Be still. Be vigilant. There are signs that will be revealed through your circumstances of a paradigm shift taking place. These signs will be indications of what I am doing in and through My people. The church, as you have known it, has the opportunity to be transformed into My bride without spot or wrinkle. Your work is to prepare yourself by letting go of everything that does not produce spiritual life, says the Lord.
Ephesians 5:27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.”

My heart is tracking with yours. I have loved every moment of this past month, seeing my grown kids; traveling to see family…and I am exhausted. I have heard His word – be still – Rest – and I am. I feel like Elijah, sleeping and eating, being ministered to.
So your message resonates with me – confirms His word to me.
Thank you so much Jeanne. Yes, He is so faithful to renew us, if we just heed His call to stop and just BE. A lesson that bears much repeating in my life. God Bless you Jeanne.
