On Thursday morning, April 6, 2023, I woke up to:
♪ “Through it all, through it all my eyes are on You”— It sang over and over in my head. ( You can listen to the whole song here.)
I knew God was the one who put the song in my mind. My response to the Lord, “This is the call right now—this moment and time we must keep our eyes on You. It is the only way through.”
Next, these words came immediately to mind.
“The spirit of fear = death
The spirit of the fear of the LORD = life
Don’t be confused.”
“We wait for You, Lord. You are the answer to every need and our only hope. You will not see the righteous forsaken or their seed begging for bread. You are the bread of life. What do You want me to read this morning?”
“Genesis 14.”
Genesis 14 – Abram’s trust in God
This is a story about five kings going to battle with the king of Sodom and the king of Gomorrah and two others. The two kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled for their lives. Then the five kings…”took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their provisions, and went their way. 12 They also took Lot, Abram’s brother’s son who dwelt in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.
14 Now when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his three hundred and eighteen trained servants who were born in his own house, and went in pursuit. 15 He divided his forces against them by night, and he and his servants attacked them and pursued them…16 So he brought back all the goods, and also brought back his brother Lot and his goods, as well as the women and the people.
17 And the king of Sodom went out to meet him at the Valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley), after his return from the defeat of Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him.
18 Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High. 19 And he blessed him and said:
“Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth; 20 And blessed be God Most High, Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.”
And he (Abram) gave him a tithe of all.
21 Now the king of Sodom said to Abram, “Give me the persons, and take the goods for yourself.”
22 But Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have raised my hand to the Lord, God Most High, the Possessor of heaven and earth, 23 that I will take nothing, from a thread to a sandal strap, and that I will not take anything that is yours, lest you should say, ‘I have made Abram rich’— 24 except only what the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men who went with me…”
Abram looks to God alone to meet his need.
This scripture comes to mind. My God shall supply all our need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19..]
I was prompted to continue reading. Genesis 15:1
After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”
Holy Spirit sent me to Romans 4:1-3, 9-11, 19-22.
What then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh? 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. 3 For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”
9 Does this blessedness then come upon the circumcised only, or upon the uncircumcised also? For we say that faith was accounted to Abraham for righteousness. 10 How then was it accounted? While he was circumcised, or uncircumcised? Not while circumcised, but while uncircumcised. 11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while still uncircumcised, that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they are uncircumcised, that righteousness might be imputed to them.
19 And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. 20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. 22 And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.”
Then these supporting scriptures came.
Jeremiah 1:12 AMP Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am [actively] watching over My word to fulfill it.”
Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?”
Titus 1:1-2 Paul, a bondservant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect and the acknowledgment of the truth which accords with godliness, 2 in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began
James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
“Thank You, Lord, for leading me to Your words of faith and promise. Julie’s words yesterday about Hold the Line (Julie Green’s word-4-5-23) are underscored with these scriptures. We have nothing to fear when our eyes are on You. You fed 3 million people for 40 years—we need not worry about food or clothing.”
Then this:
Matthew 56:33-34 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
“Fear Not—It’s a matter of TRUST. Whose report do you believe?” He said.
We are called to walk as children of light – Ephesians 5:8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.
We are to stand in faith and do God’s will—Exodus 14:13 And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever.
Elisha told his servant. 2 Kings 6:16 — “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”
All of this is God’s word to us today. The Body of Christ and those wanting truth to reign in this country and around the world are greater in number than those trying to destroy us.
May we say with the Israelites in 2 Chronicles 20:12 “O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.”
God’s word to us–” For God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
And as a reminder—Zechariah 4:6 “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.”
Lord of hosts. If you don’t know what that means—We have the Lord and the angel armies of heaven with us, working to re-establish righteousness in our country. – He cannot be defeated.
It’s not time to give up. It’s time to stand up. We are not alone. We have the victory in Yeshua.
Shalom ♥
