It’s our last lighting of the Hanukkiah tonight with a reminder of the Ultimate Light who dwells in all of us and Who lights the City of God. Let’s celebrate Jesus, Yeshua, the Light of the world.
Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, “Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God. Her LIGHT was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal. Revelation 21:9-11 NKJV
But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its LIGHT. And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its LIGHT, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. Revelation 21:22-24 NKJV
As 2021 winds to a close and 2022 stands before us, let’s remember that we live IN Him and Jesus said to us, “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:14
Do all things without complaining and disputing, 15 that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, 16 holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain. Philippians 2:14-16
For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. Ephesians 5:8
So may each of us shine His light in our world and watch God transform everything around us.
