There are different seasons in all of our lives.  Some seasons are quiet and hidden and others are public and full of sound and assignments.  The secret to living the abundant life is to stay in step with Holy Spirit.

Several years ago, Holy Spirit called me to be still and yet the assignments before me were to teach.  “How can I do both?” was my question to Him.  And here was His answer:

“Have I not called you? Have I not prepared you for this hour? No fear Beloved, no fear. Be still. Yes, still your emotions, still the voice of agitation and doubt inside and listen to Me. There is a time and a season to speak, to shout, to run, but that time is not yet. Hold your peace.” 

…Abba, how can I hold my peace and also teach?

“Give what I’ve given you and no more. Don’t add to it. Let Me do My own adding to those who hear. Instructions are different for everyone. Be still is the message. Preach it boldly and let it be. I will use it well to fashion My Bride. She must learn to hold her tongue and walk with Me. I am meek and lowly in heart and she will find rest in her soul. My yoke is easy and My burden light. Hush now, be still and know that I AM God. I hold all things together by My word and My word for this hour is Be Still. Stay in humility, stay in prayer and you will find rest for your soul. There is a way that seems right, but the end thereof is death. I am the way, the truth, and the life.”
