God Is Looking for True Worshippers

But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.   John 4:23 NKJV

Several years ago, I was asking Abba about worship and what it meant to be a true worshipper.  This was His answer:
“True worship is more than a song. It is more than attending a service of worship. True worship involves your heart. It is a reflection of your entire life.  I am looking for those who worship Me with their whole hearts. It is a life of obedience to the things I am asking them to do.

When I ask you to do things that you don’t want to do and you choose to do them because you love Me, I see this as true worship. It’s not the things you find easy, but the ones that press against your self-will and self-image.

True worship is leaving all of that behind and following Me.  Your songs will take on new depth as you sing them out of a heart of total surrender to My will.”

Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.  Luke 9:23 NKJV

Let’s enter into worship with every breath we take.
