“Treasures from the Secret Place”

Chapter 21

Because you have made the LORD,
who is my refuge,
Even the Most High,
your dwelling place (habitation),
Psalm 91:9

Now we jump into the rest of this chapter of abundant promise.  David is speaking to begin with and he is speaking from his own rich relationship with Abba.  He entices us with his testimony of God’s faithfulness.  “There is no one like our God.”  Through this next section we see behind the lines this shout of praise.  Let’s taste and see what he wants us to know.

“Because you have made…”  As you read this, stop and consider how we ‘make’ the LORD our dwelling place our habitation.  If He is our ‘home,’ He will be the place we return to and find security.

Made:

7760. : A verb meaning to appoint, to bring, to call, to put, to change, to charge, to commit, to consider, to convey, to determine. The primary meaning of the verb is to put, to set, or to place.

= Shin 300 = Victory of good over evil, Holy Spirit. Means: Teeth, Fire, the Fire or zeal of God to consume all His enemies, Devour, Destroy, Something Sharp.

= Vav 6 = Man. Means: Nail or Hook, to Secure, Pin together, Connect -Yeshua

= closed Mem 600 Means: Hidden Truth 

MADE: Because you have partnered with the Zeal of God to Destroy your Enemies you have and found the Hidden Truth of Securing yourself in Yeshua.

Made the LORD:
3068 = ‎Yehovah (yeh-ho-vaw’); (the) self-Existent or Eternal; Jehovah, Jewish national name of God: The self-Existent Eternal God
= Yod 10 = The outcome, the completion of something. Means: Hand, Right Arm, Power – Right hand of God’s power, a Deed Done, to Work, to Cover, Allow, Hollow, Open Hand, also can refer to the Holy Spirit as it always hangs in the air overseeing
= Hey 5 = Grace. Means: Revelation, Behold, Give Attention
= Vav 6 = Man. Means: Nail or Hook, to Secure, Pin together, Connect -Yeshua

Remember, whenever you see the word lord all in capitals, as you do in this scripture, it is a substitute for God’s most important title, . Whenever this title is used, one must also realize that the Covenant Keeping God is on the scene. This is the name He used when making covenant and when He refers to His covenant.

LORD: The Self-Existent, Eternal God covers you with His mighty Hand revealing His the Grace He gives to those in covenant with Him.

Who is my Refuge:

4268 : A masculine noun  from 2620, designating a refuge, shelter, hope. It indicates a place of safety and protection, security. It is used figuratively most often of God as a refuge for His people (Ps 14:6; 46:1[:2 ]; 61:3[:4 ]; 62:7[:8 ]; 71:7; 73:28; Prov 14:26; Jer 17:17; Joel 3:16[4:16]). It is used of various types of sheltering: from storms (Isa 4:6; 25:4); from danger for people or animals (Ps 104:18).

2620 : A primitive root verb meaning to seek, to take refuge. The word is used literally in reference to seeking a tree’s shade (Judg 9:15) and taking refuge in Zion (Isa 14:32). It is commonly used figuratively in relation to deities (Deut 32:37), particularly of Yahweh. He is a shield providing refuge (2 Sam 22:31). Refuge is sought under His wings (Ruth 2:12; Ps 36:7[:8 ]; 57:1[:2 ]; 61:4[:5 ]; 91:4) and at the time of death (Prov 14:32).

Here is the break down in Hebrew:

Refuge:
= Chet 8 = New Beginnings. Means: Fence, Gate, or Tent wall – Separate, Protect, Cut Off
= Samekh 60 = Pride, Conceit, Earthly. Picture: A Tree propped up by a piece of wood. Means: To Lean Upon, a Prop or Aid, Hold, Assist or Support – the heart of God
= Hey 5 = Grace. Means: Revelation, Behold, Give Attention – (at the end of a word: comes from letter before)

Thus, when we say God is our REFUGE, we are saying He is my refuge, my hope and shelter and I am hidden from all chaos, Separated, Protected and held in love and Grace that comes from the very Heart of God.

Who is this MOST HIGH? Let’s look at our Hebrew definition:

OT:5945‘elyown (el-yone’); an elevation, i.e. (adj.) lofty; as title, the Supreme: KJV – (Most, on) high (-er, -est), upper (-most).

This is fairly self explanatory, but when we see the letters separately we discover something more:

Ayin 70= Completion of time. Means: Eye, to See, Understand, Experience, or to be Seen, Window of the soul-good or bad
Lamed 30 = Blood of Messiah, Dedication to a task. Means: Staff, Goad or Stick, to Teach or Instruct, Authority, to Control, Urge Forward, a Tongue
Yod 10 = The outcome, the completion of something. Means: Hand, Right Arm, Power – Right hand of God’s power, a Deed Done, to Work, to Cover, Allow, Hollow, Open Hand, also refers to the Holy Spirit as it always hangs in the air overseeing
Vav 6 = Man. Means: Nail or Hook, to Secure, Pin together, Connect –Yeshua

Final Nun 50 = Restoration, Holy Spirit, Jubilee. Means: Life or Action

Thus, when we decide to make the MOST HIGH our dwelling place,  we are permanently under the watch care of the Supreme God who is Sovereign over ALL. We are under His Instruction, His protecting and enabling Right Hand of power, and we are connected through Yeshua to heaven bringing Life to earth.

Okay let’s wrap it up.  What are the benefits of this Habitation?

Habitation (dwelling place):
OT:4583 ; or ma`iyn (1 Chron 4:41) (maw-een’); from the same as OT:5772; an abode, of God (the Tabernacle or the Temple), men (their home) or animals (their lair); hence, a retreat (asylum): KJV – den, dwelling ([-place]), habitation.
= Mem 40 = Trial, testing, Tribulation. Means: Womb, Water from the womb, Mighty, Massive, Chaos.
= Ayin 70 = Completion of Time. Means: Eye, to See, Understand, Experience, or to be Seen
= Vav 6 = Man. Means: Nail or Hook, to Secure, Pin together, Connect – Yeshua
= final Nun 700 = Restoration, Holy Spirit, Jubilee. Means: Life or Action

HABITATION or DWELLING PLACE: In the midst of Chaos, He is my hidden place of security.  He enables me to See and understand what is going on, but I am Secure in the Life of Yeshua.

November 14, 2006                                                                                There is a place of quiet rest, near to the heart of God. A place where sin cannot possess, near to the heart of God. A place of quiet-inside-soul quiet-rest in Me completely. Under-water freedom from the weight of life. Buoyed in My hands carried in Me. There’s a habitation for you. One that I’ve held in reserve, waiting for you to come. Waiting for you to come. How I long to sit with you there and share My heart and My secrets. Truly sin cannot possess there. The enemy cannot enter in.

Dwells—not a stopping place or a place to run to in times of danger, but a place to live. The dwelling place is IN ME. In Me you live and move and have your being. Outside of this place is chaos, confusion, fear and dread.

You can live here all of the time. You never have to leave. It’s a choice to remain in Me. There will be times when the circumstances of life will pull you aside from abiding here, but I will teach you the pathway of return. I will show you the way home to this place of quiet rest of soul.

Your spirit never leaves this place and is constantly reminding you of your need to return. Over time you will respond more quickly to His call. Come away My beloved. Come away.

We will see further benefits in making Him our habitation in the next verse.
