In Him There Isn’t Any Fear

I was talking with Jesus this morning and asking Him to help me stay on track with Him, especially through these next few months. If you listen to the prophets and spend time with the Lord, you know that these next few months will test our belief in God’s care. So I asked Him to help me keep my eyes on Him and receive His grace to follow.

Then, words to an old hymn came to mind.

Jesus walked this lonesome valley

He had to walk it by Himself

O nobody else could walk it for Him

He had to walk it by Himself

Then the song says we must walk our path by ourselves, which is a lie. God is ALWAYS with us. We are never alone.

So I asked the Lord to help me live in this reality and draw strength and joy to embrace His will. Lord, remind me daily of Your presence. I cannot walk this road without You. I will not fear. I will…I DO trust You.

Then, He led me to Isaiah 65. It’s all about God’s judgment and His protection.

After reading it, I asked Him if this chapter pointed to our times as well. This was His answer–

Yes, while you will see it, I will sustain you through this time of judgment. I am cleaning My church and your nation. My plans for you are for good, but they need a clean slate to begin. Rest in My will, Beloved. There is no fear in love. My love is for you and all those pursuing My will. I will not forget. Your lives are written on the palms of my hands and across My heart. No weapon formed against you will prosper. This is My promise.

Afterward, I opened my Jesus Calling devotional. And this is what I read.

To me, it was added confirmation to what He’d just spoken. And I looked up the scriptures.

But, you will notice that the page in my devotional is for January 4, and the scripture I turned to was Isaiah 41 (not 40) verse 10.

Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed. I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.

When I realized what I’d done and yet how perfectly both the reading and the scripture aligned with our conversation, I knew Holy Spirit was truly leading.

God wants to lead us. He wants to encourage us. And He leads each of us in unique ways. Take time to be with Him. You will be blessed beyond measure.

Shalom ♥ This is going to be an amazing year.

  1. Yes, it is. Full of blessings and freedom and strong stepping stones of faith. The word He had given me for this year is “Covenant”. And this 🎵 “Do you feel the mountains tremble”

    Bless you, Mary Ellen!

  2. Thank you so much for this blog post, Mary Ellen! I was committing Isaiah 41:10-11 TPT, to memory today as part of my devotional time, so your post was a confirmation of Holy Spirit’s leading to me. My word for the year is “Trust.” I’m reading a devotional book titled “ Trusting God,” this month and memorizing scriptures that include the word trust. Your post was such an encouragement to me. God bless you!
