Hang on to Your Bloomers

On August 1st, I was talking with the Lord about what the prophets were saying and asking Him to clarify what was from Him.  While it doesn’t have the specifics that some prophets are speaking, He told me,

“This is going to be a whirlwind month.  Hang onto your bloomers.  The wind is going to blow like you’ve never seen it.  The wind of My Spirit knows no limits but the ones I set. All that can be shaken, will shake.  You will see it and you will feel it but do not fear.  It will shake away your doubt, your questions, your unbelief.  You will see Me in living color.  My power and My sovereignty will amaze you.

The battle will not be over, but we will take ground this month as you partner with Me.  Compassion and empathy will grow and the zeal to tell others – to share My gospel will skyrocket.

May none perish without knowing Me.

Tell My word. Live My word. And Do Not Fear.  What the enemy means for evil will blow back in his face.

Call for the North wind.  Judgment is coming to the land of My Eagle.  Judgment and retribution (punishment for criminal acts).  It’s payback time.

Many will fall as My church rises up.  Speak the truth.  Declare your future in Me and love every person you meet.  See My image in them.  Ask Me to help you and I will.  You’ve only just begun.  This is the beginning of a new day, a new hour for the church and for the world.  The King of kings is taking His throne over the affairs of men.

I have continued to meditate and dialogue with Holy Spirit about the word I shared because one word seemed out of order – “This is going to be a whirlwind month.  Hang onto your BLOOMERS.  The wind is going to blow like you’ve never seen it.”

This morning when I was spending time with Him, He reminded me about the instructions He gave to the priests.  He commanded that they wear linen garments in the Holy Place -Exodus 28:42 — And you shall make for them linen trousers to cover their nakedness; they shall reach from the waist to the thighs.

Trousers are written as ‘breeches’ in KJV  Breeches are bloomers. They were required to cover their nakedness.  In my Spirit-Filled NKJV Bible, it says that it was common in Canaanite worship to have their genitalia exposed.

In Leviticus 16:4 God commanded Aaron, as the High Priest, to put on the holy linen tunic and linen trousers -breeches… “These are holy garments.”

Then I went to Ezekiel 44:15-18

15 “But the priests, the Levites, the sons of Zadok, who kept charge of My sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from Me, they shall come near Me to minister to Me; and they shall stand before Me to offer to Me the fat and the blood,” says the Lord God. 16 “They shall enter My sanctuary, and they shall come near My table to minister to Me, and they shall keep My charge.

17 And it shall be, whenever they enter the gates of the inner court, that they shall put on linen garments; no wool shall come upon them while they minister within the gates of the inner court or within the house. 18 They shall have linen turbans on their heads and linen trousers- breeches– on their bodies; they shall not clothe themselves with anything that causes sweat.

Sweat is a sign of self-initiated effort without consulting or following God’s instructions.  Proverbs 3:5-6 clearly defines what God wants us to do.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.

The sons of Zadok priests had special privileges.  They were the only ones who did not rebel against God when the other priests did.  So, the Zadok priests were the only ones allowed to minister to the LORD in the new Ezekiel temple.

With all of this in mind, I believe we can say that God is calling us to represent Him through this season of turmoil.  We will do that by putting our complete trust in God, living lives of repentance, and walking in holiness—fully committed to only walk in His will.  This is what the linen breeches or ‘bloomers’ represent.

When He said, ‘Hang on to your bloomers,’ He was saying, “Trust in your relationship with Me without fear or striving.  Rest in who I am and do My will regardless of how it may appear to you.  Our trust in Him and our worship, honoring all He is, will be how we live our lives.

I believe the ball is in our court, Church. He is waiting for our response. He is ready to lead us in triumph.

Shalom ♥

  1. This post resonates and confirms in a lot of ways, and I’m encouraged by it! Yearning to abide and obey His voice! Thank you for sharing. I’m glad He spoke this to you.

    • God is so good to share His will with us and has given us ears to hear. I am just a postman delivering God’s mail, but rejoice when His family is blessed. I am yearning for the same things too momel5. Abiding in Him is heaven on earth in the middle of all the chaos, we can be at peace. God bless you.
