Isaiah 53:1 says, “Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?”
We’ve already looked at the arm of the LORD in a previous post but here is the breakdown of the word ‘believed.’
BELIEVED – is Strong’s #539 – it is a primitive root and it means to go to the right hand, to trust, to establish, to turn to the right, to build up or foster, etc.
And it looks like this:
From right to left the letter meanings are these:
Aleph 1= God – Echad – Unity, Unique (no other like it) Means: Ox-head—Strength or Leader, Most Important, First – The Strength and Power of the leader
Mem 40= Trial, Testing, Tribulation. Means Womb, Water from the womb, Cleansing water, flowing water that brings life, Mighty, Massive Chaos, Humility, taking the low place, hidden relationship with God, Cleansing water, flowing water that brings life.
Nun 50 = Restoration, Holy Spirit, Jubilee. Means: Life or Action
When Isaiah asks, “Who has believed our report?” he is asking:
Who has turned to God in humility,
been cleansed,
drawn into a hidden relationship with God,
and responded by living a Holy Spirit led life of action?
How many of us as believers, can say we have believed? Yes, it is by grace and grace alone that we live the Christian life, but there is still choice involved.
Okay, I promised a summary of what we’ve discovered in verse one. Here you go:
Who has believed our report?
Who has turned to God in humility, been cleansed, drawn into a hidden relationship with God, and responded by living a Holy Spirit led life of action?
Or to who has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
Arm
Who has discovered the perfect fulness of God in Yeshua; the fact that He is the sword of the Spirit – the Word of God and the Seed of the woman who will bruise the head of the serpent? Does anyone realize that Yeshua is the Head of the Body and will come in the completion of time as the Word and the Spirit because He sees and understands our need for a Savior?
Revealed
Yeshua is divine perfection and He is generous. He will pour out His blood and give His life, triumphing over satan, setting us free. He will take back what the enemy stole from us and return it to us. Yeshua HaMashiach is the ultimate revelation of grace and truth.
That’s a lot of treasure and it’s only verse one. We will pick up with the rest of Isaiah 53:2 as Holy Spirit leads. Have a wonderful week. Shalom ♥
