Jesus could have come into the world, born in a palace, but Philippians 2:5-8 tells us another story: “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”

He came to serve rather than to be served. He didn’t come to proclaim who He was, He came to show us who we are when we are one with Him.
Let’s take a look at this Lamb:

The word Lamb is Strong’s Concordance #7716 and in Hebrew, it is spelled with just two letters, Shin and Hey.

The Strong’s definition: a member of a flock, i.e. a sheep or goat:—(lesser, small) cattle, ewe, goat, lamb, sheep.

And the letters mean this:
Shin 300 = Victory of good over evil, Holy Spirit. Means: Teeth, Fire, the Fire of God to consume all His enemies, Devour, Destroy, Something Sharp.

Hey 5 = Grace. Means: Revelation – 5 is the number of Torah, Behold, Give Attention – (at the end of a word: comes from letter before)
When we put those two letters together, they describe what Jesus did when He came to earth and went to the cross for us.

Through the Lamb, God brought the victory of good over evil through His Holy Spirit working in Christ in obedience to God the Father. Through the Lamb, God destroyed the enemy, triumphing over him at the cross.

Through the Lamb, God brought a greater revelation of grace (giving us what we don’t deserve and the power to follow Him), and a revelation of His Word that we all must give our attention.

While we may spend our lives doing our best to overcome sin completely, the truth of the matter is that He already overcame it all the only credit to be given for victory in any area is the Lamb of God.

John 1:29 says, The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

Revelation 12:10-11 tells us Who fought the ultimate battle. Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

The blood of the Lamb washed us clean of all sin and overcame death and hell for each of us and gave us eternal life with Him.

The blood of the Lamb gave us a new identity–we are blameless and holy before Him, sons of God–carrying all the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit, having the mind of Christ, having authority to speak and do the will of God to establish His Kingdom on the earth. We are not victims, we are victors through the Lamb. And when this is our testimony, and we live it, He is seen and heard.

The blood of the Lamb frees us from the fear of death and we are able to live out all God calls us to do in faith.

Jesus–the Lamb, made (us) alive together with Him, having forgiven us all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that were against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. Colossians 2:13-15
We are more than conquerors because of the perfect sacrifice of our sinless Lamb of God.

Revelation 5:12 declares praise that each of us needs to shout from the housetops every single day. “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain To receive power and riches and wisdom, And strength and honor and glory and blessing!”

It’s Good Friday. Let’s remember to celebrate with the angels of heaven and with believers around the world Jesus’ great love for each of us—“Who for the joy set before Him endured the cross.” Hebrews 12:2
